Nordfriesland
Immer am 21. Februar: Bikebrennen in Nordfriesland
Beim traditionellen Bikebrennen treiben die Nordfriesen den Winter aus. Eingepackt in dicke Jacken und einem Punsch in der Hand warten Sie gespannt darauf, dass die Puppe als Symbol für die kalten Tage auf dem riesigen Scheiterhaufen von den Flammen verschlungen wird.
Immer im März: Husumer Krokusblütenfest
Der lila Frühlingszauber! Lassen Sie sich umschmeicheln vom lila Blütenmeer des Nordens! Mehr als 4 Millionen Krokusse zieren den Schlossgarten von Husum und verwandeln ihn in ein einziges, schier unendliches lila Blütenmeer.
Immer im April: Ringelganstage auf den Halligen
Ein besonderes Ereignis in der Biosphäre Halligen sind die jährlich im April und Mai stattfindenden Ringelganstage. Riesige Schwärme dieser Wildgänse rasten auf den Salzwiesen, um sich Fettreserven für ihren bis zu 5.000 km weiten Flug in das sibirische Brutgebiet zuzulegen.
Immer von Mai bis Juli: Nordfriesische Lammtage
Die Grenze zwischen Wattenmeer und Festland bilden die Salzwiesen und die Deiche, auf dem das Salzwiesenlamm zu Hause ist. Während der Lammtage finden zahlreiche interessante Veranstaltungen rund um das wollige Tier statt.

Immer Anfang August: Husumer Hafentage
Die Hafentage in Husum sind das beliebteste und größte Stadtevent an der schleswig-holsteinischen Nordseeküste. Neben den vielen maritimen und kulturellen Programmhöhepunkten lädt die Meile auch zum Schlemmen und Feiern ein.
Immer Mitte September: Dithmarscher Kohltage
Die Dithmarscher Kohltage laden zur Feier des Ernte-Beginns in die Heimat des leckeren Gemüses ein. Besucher kommen von überall her um zu sehen und zu probieren, was für köstliche Kreationen und raffinierte Kombinationen die einheimischen Köche aus den Vitaminbomben zubereiten. www.kohltage-dithmarschen.de

North Frisia
Always on 21st February: “Biikebrennen” in North Frisia
The traditional “Biikebrennen”, where people make large bonfires on the beach, is the North Frisian way of driving away the winter. Snuggled in thick jackets and clutching a cup of hot punch, they wait with excitement for the straw dummy as the symbol of the cold days to be devoured by the flames of the huge bonfire.
Always in March: Husum’s Festival of Crocus Blossoms
This is sheer spring enchantment! Feast your eyes upon the lilac sea of blossoms of the north! More than 4 million crocuses adorn Husum’s castle park and transform it into a single, almost endless lilac sea of blossoms.
Always in April: Brent Goose Days on the Halligen
The Brent Goose Days are held annually in April and May in the Hallig biosphere and are a very special experience. Huge flocks of wild geese take a break on the salt marshes in order to increase their fat reserves for their 5,000km flight to the Siberian breeding grounds.
Always from May to July: North Frisian Lamb Days
Salt marshes and dykes form the border between the Wadden Sea and the mainland and are the natural habitat of the salt marsh lamb. Numerous interesting events all about the woolly animal take place during the Lamb Days.
Always from July to August: Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival
On 22nd February 2019, the programme of the 29th Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival will be published. The so-called SHMF will take place from 6th July to 1st September 2019 and highlights the music and culture of Turkey, being this year’s feature country.
Always at the beginning of August: Husum’s Harbour Days Festival
The Harbour Days (Hafentage) in Husum are the largest and most popular city event on the Schleswig-Holstein North Sea coast. In addition to the many maritime and cultural highlights of the programme, you have plenty of opportunities to feast and celebrate along the festival mile.
Always in mid-September: The Dithmarschen Cabbage Days
“Dithmarscher Kohltage” invite you to the region where this delicious vegetable is produced most in Germany in order to celebrate the start of the harvest. Visitors come from everywhere in Germany to see and taste the delicious creations and sophisticated combinations that the local chefs prepare from this vegetable rich in vitamins.
